I started investing in real estate in 2005 when I bought my first home with owner financing.  Since then I have been involved in starting 5 companies focusing on real estate.  I have ownership in close to 100 rental properties, build 15 - 20 houses a year, and co-own a property management company that manages 400 units in the Nashville area.  All this experience helps me to weigh the pros and cons of various real estate strategies for the passive real estate investor.  It has also led me to choose non-performing notes as my long-term strategy.  On a personal note, I enjoy spending time quality time with my wife and two children, riding dirt bikes and reading.
